India has only a handful of magazines that focus on the design scene as a whole. The existing ones talk about established designers and stalwarts in the industry instead of focusing on the youth and following their careers.

The old notions of design as an illegitimate career option are slowly lifting, and an apparent increase in interest can be seen. The youth, be it aspirants or people starting out in the industry, don’t have the connect, or sense of community. CounterPrint would cater to the youth to create this sense of community while also growing with them.

The assignment's goal was to get a better understanding of publication design and what goes into the making of a magazine.
